Dr. Kharin’s professional journey commenced with a degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts. He subsequently graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2010, where he earned both Merit and Alberti Scholarships. In 2011, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency, mentored and taught by board-certified specialists in all facets of dentistry.
In 2021, Dr. Kharin achieved Fellowship status with the Academy of General Dentistry, joining an exclusive group of dentists committed to clinical excellence through ongoing education. He is the sole AGD Fellow in Bedford, MA.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kharin has dedicated numerous hours to perfecting the art of dentistry through seminars, lectures, hands-on courses, and participation in various study clubs. His objective has always been to possess the knowledge and skills to provide exceptional dental care to his patients.
Dr. Kharin’s behavioral background, erudite personality, and profound sense of compassion, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of his profession, have shaped a distinctive style of patient interaction. From the initial meeting, he endeavors to learn about his patients’ desires, wishes, past experiences, and fears, aiming to comprehend the individuals for whom he will be providing care. Following a meticulous dental examination, Dr. Kharin guides patients in formulating a comprehensive treatment plan to achieve the optimal health that modern dentistry can offer.
Residing in Concord, MA, with his wife and two young sons, Dr. Kharin is not only a dedicated dental professional but also an avid reader, traveler, art and music connoisseur, gardener, nature enthusiast, and a published author. Additionally, he proudly serves his country as a Major in the U.S Army Reserve.
Dr. Shivani Patel is originally from Methuen, MA and graduated valedictorian from Methuen High School. From high school she got accepted into an accelerated B.A./D.M.D. program at Tufts University. She received her bachelor of arts in Developmental Psychology and then her D.M.D. from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 2008. At Tufts School of Dental Medicine she received the Quintessence Award for Excellence in Restorative Dentistry and was also an Academic Tutor and Clinical Teaching Assistant.
Dr. Patel has been as Assistant Professor at Tufts School of Dental Medicine since 2011. She loves teaching part time and being in private practice on the other days. Her practice focuses on all age groups (she especially loves working with children). Her goal is to make each patient comfortable through thorough diagnosis and treatment planning allowing her to provide comprehensive care to all her patients. She enjoys a wide range of cosmetic and restorative dentistry, root canal therapy, teeth whitening, implant restoration, veneers, teeth alignment (straightening), crowns and therapeutic Botox therapy. Dr. Patel attends continuing education courses including the Yankee Dental Congress in Boston to keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, teaching and learning Indian dance, and spending time with her family.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Dr. Khoury spent much of his childhood living in Africa and the Middle East before returning to the United States. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Merrimack College, followed by his DMD degree from Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from both institutions.
Dr. Khoury discovered his passion for healthcare at a young age. “My mother always told me that one day my hands would help people, and what a humbling experience it is for this to come true,” he says.
With a diverse experience in treating patients of all ages and backgrounds, Dr. Khoury ensures that you will feel comfortable during treatment. He focuses on delivering personalized care, aligning with Cornerstone Dental’s commitment to high quality, patient centered treatment. He is also bilingual, being proficient in Greek.
In his free time Dr. Khoury enjoys traveling, skiing and playing basketball. He is an avid Boston sports fan, especially of the Celtics.
Dr. Sharma earned her first dental degree in 2013 from a prestigious institution in India. She moved to the US in 2015 with her family and learned about the American healthcare system. She worked as a dental assistant, researcher and an academic, before starting dental school again to get licensed in the US. She completed her DDS degree at the no.1 dental school in the US- University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She was awarded by the Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology for her exemplary aptitude and knowledge. She has had various papers published, volunteered for public health projects and has been educated about the latest advances in the field. She also received an emerging educator award for outstanding experience and interest in dental education.
She puts great effort in educating her patients and giving them the best possible care. In addition to creating beautiful smiles, she focuses on increasing awareness about oral-systemic health connection.
During her free time, she likes to hang out with her group of friends and family. Her hobbies include hiking, dancing, traveling, cooking and exploring new coffee shops.
She is looking forward to providing a stress free and comfortable oral care experience for all her patients.
Dr. Toy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in French, graduating summa cum laude from Merrimack College, and then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After completing her dental education, she undertook a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program on the Navajo Nation in Arizona, where she received comprehensive training under the guidance of experienced dentists and surgeons from various specialties.
Subsequently, Dr. Toy served as an attending dentist with Indian Health Services, providing care to the Navajo community while also mentoring/educating dental residents and students. Her professional journey has encompassed both public health and private practice settings in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and she currently holds a position as a Clinical Instructor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Toy is deeply committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in her practice and prioritizing the well-being of her patients. She takes great satisfaction in building strong relationships with them, fostering trust, and guiding them toward achieving their oral health goals.
